2 The things which you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit the same things to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also. (2 Timothy 2:2)
12/7 Leadership: 12 Points in 7 Areas Every Christian Organization Simply MUST Get Right!
1) LEADERSHIP: Service, Judgement, & Styles
Leadership takes many forms, but there are different strategies depending on where you serve within the organization, and every department needs leaders- whether a one person position, or a team position.
2) RESPONSIBILITY: Faithful in little things, faithful in all things
Being forthright in your speech about the Gospel message shows that you have respect for the message you are speaking of and the listener. Compassion needs to be more than just a feeling- it needs to be action-based and purposeful. Be forthcoming in your display of service and love for others; they will never wonder what your motives are, and they will leave clearly knowing that they have heard the message of Jesus Christ.
3) SERVICE: To lead is to serve- the very foundation of what leadership is
Serving is a word that gets thrown around from time to time, but what does it mean to serve appropriately and effectively in the position you hold in your church? We got it covered, and you won't have to wonder any longer.
4) ACCOUNTABILITY: Being above reproach is not a one person endeavor.
Your service to Christ and to His church and congregation is not to be taken lightly. Here, establishing effective and overlapping accountability is taught, so you are never under fire from false (or true) accusations. Auditing and monitoring of measurable data are implemented to establish effectiveness within any department.
5) DECISION MAKING: Leaders must make decisions. let's learn how to make the very best ones.
Greatness is not something that happens accidentally- it takes work. So many people miss it because it is often hard, messy, and exhausting. The rewards of well-placed effort are worth it. But so many times the work goes in without the return because of a faulty plan, misguided notions, or quite simply, human error and good intentions. With the skill of the ability of making good decisions, many of these things can be altogether avoided.
6) CULTURE OF CHRIST: Practical methods of creating a Christ-centered & professional organization
The social culture of any organization can be difficult to properly develop. Hurt feelings, anger, bitterness, laziness, disrespect, and a myriad of other negative social nuances can completely sabotage the best of efforts for any organization, but in ministry, it allows Satan a firm foothold and stumbling block. Developing an honest, healthy, and dynamic working and social environment will fill the sails of your church for maximum effectiveness.
7) PRAYER: Without prayer, you may have an effective company, but not an effective church/ ministry.
Prayer is discussed in purpose, application, frequency, method, and participation. This is not an easy-breezy, feel good section, but rather, an in-depth journey to the heart of both your servants and the church itself.
